Paddy Pallin’s Adventure Race, Cam’s Wharf

Paddy Pallin’s Adventure Race, round 1, Cam’s Wharf, 2017

What a scorcher. The summer heat continues. This time the sun beat down on the first round of Maximum Adventure’s Paddy Pallin Adventure race at Cam’s Wharf. We took a small team up with us to cover the action.

With a heatwave in full swing the thought on everyone’s mind was how hot it might get through the day, so in order to try and avoid the worst of the heat the event was brought forward an hour.

With a change of course it was mostly an all new track and for us all new angles with which to shoot from. We had scouted part of the track for the Great Adventure Challenge previously. Instead of heading out towards the coast near Catherine Hill Bay the race headed south around the southern end of Lake Macquarie to Gwandalan. This time there were 2 kayak legs this time which offered a chance to get out into the breeze that was blowing across the water.

The full gallery of images can be found on our site here. Full results can be found on Maximum Adventure’s site here. While you are there sign up for the next race in Sydney at the Royal National Park and we shall see you there

If you have an event that you would like covered touch base with us so we can work out how best to suit your needs
